Sola-Cure recognises the lack of options for solar protection and anti-glare solutions on eyebrow windows in the wheelhouse of workboats. This is especially frustrating because visibility through these windows is often critical, particularly when sailing alongside a large ship.
Our eyebrow window covers are an excellent option that can be placed at the window. They are easily removable to comply with IMO regulations, yet they remain durable and robust. All eyebrow window coverings are bespoke, made-to-measure, anti-glare solutions.

We manufacture eyebrow window covers that protect the skipper and crew from the sun’s glare, heat, and harmful UV rays penetrating the wheelhouse. Our eyebrow covers provide a solution where traditional roller blinds do not achieve full coverage. Sola-Cure customises each cover to match the shape of the eyebrow window. They can be easily removed and reinstalled using simple yet effective Velcro patches.

Glare from overhead eyebrow or skylight windows can be a real problem in the wheelhouse, making it difficult to see vital equipment and impacting crew comfort. Traditional sun screen roller blinds aren’t ideal for these windows.

How does it work? How do I get a price?
We have made it incredibly easy to provide a firm, fixed price. All you need do is provide us with the width and depth of the window. Don’t worry if the window shape is angled. Just give us the width at the widest point. Beyond that, which product you are interested in; solar blinds, blackout blinds or solar screens
Where do I store my eyebrow covers when not in use?

Eyebrow covers can be hung on a hook and rest against any convenient wall inside the wheelhouse. There is an additional elastic cord to ensure they are fixed against the wall and do not move around at sea.
How do I determine the dimensions of my eyebrow windows?

The easiest solution is to provide us with the drawings. However, we appreciate these are not always available. In this case, we ask that you measure the length of each of the 4 sides and one angle. A photograph is always useful and we will produce 2D drawings to make sure the cover matches your window.
What warranty do you offer?
